The digital media blog

The digital media team is in the process of conceptualising a new version of the force website to allow us to engage with you more effectively (and locally) and offer a more efficient and personalized service to our communities.

We would like your help and so have created a blog in the hope that you will join in the conversation and let us know what you like or dislike about the site.

The Force helicopter (air operations unit)

Our helicopter is capable of:

• Two and half hours flying time;
• Searching an area 40 times larger than that of a ground patrol;
• Searching cliff, roofs and inhospitable terrain;
• Thermal imaging and scene illumination at night.
