'Is this love?' poem

Final poem created by Facebook users on our Is this love? Facebook page

They call it the silent crime,

Yet I’ve never screamed so loud inside.

But nobody heard me, asked me, looked into my eyes,

Why do I stay? Where is my pride?

They isolated me, broke all my ties.

Give me strength to escape, to survive, to feel alive,

It’s only then will I begin to feel free,

To rebuild my world, to find the real me.

You see, you told me I couldn’t, but look at me now,

I couldn’t be happier and I walk around proud,

With my head held high, and my voice speaking loud.
