Community messaging is a free service, which enables us to keep you informed about crimes and incidents affecting your local area. When you sign up to our community messaging service, we will send you messages containing up-to-date information to help us prevent or solve crime in your community. Examples of the kind of messages we send can be seen on the right hand side of the page.
You can either:
How do I receive my community message? You can receive your message either by fax, email or recorded telephone message – whichever is easiest for you. What if I have information relating to the message? The message you receive will include a reference number and will tell you how to contact us. Please use this reference number and quote ‘CMS’ so our staff can respond quickly. What if I can’t answer the telephone?Don’t worry. Our computer will call your phone several times. If there is no answer, the message will be left on the BT answering system or on your answerphone. Information from the public is our best weapon in the fight against crime. Help us keep your community safe.
