How do I join?

"I love cadets. Since I walked in I was welcomed with a lot of warmth from the police staff and the other cadets." (Devon & Cornwall Police cadet)

If you are aged between 13 and 16 and live in the Devon and Cornwall area you can apply to join the Devon & Cornwall Community Police Cadets Scheme. The scheme is open to all young people regardless of their career ambitions or capabilities.

All you need to do is pick up an application form from your local police station or download the form by clicking the button on the right-hand side.

When you have completed the form, simply take it to your local police station. The unit leader will look at your application and decide if you can be offered a place. Please be aware, places are limited and sometimes there is a waiting list.

To find your nearest cadet scheme, click on the link on the right-hand side of this page.
