Liskeard based detectives are reminding householders to keep their homes secure following two burglaries, one the in town and one at Pensylva.

Another house had been burgled at around 6.00 a.m on 3 November when the offender entered the home via an insecure door and stole two wristwatches from a utility room.
Although it is not certain that the crimes are linked, officers are asking the public to make things difficult for any would be thief.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said, “Simple, everyday precautions such as locking a door or shutting a window may make the difference between you becoming a burglary victim or not.
“It is easy to become complacent when living in an area with a low crime rate, but the affect of a burglary on the home owner can be devastating.
“We would encourage people to get into a routine before going to bed at night and include using your existing security measures among this”.
Anyone with any information regarding the burglaries is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference BD/12/1419.
