Attempted robbery charge Exeter

A 37 year old man from Exeter is due to appear before Exeter Magistrates this morning (Wednesday 16 January 2013) charged with attempted robbery of a building society.

Barry Christopher Little from Topsham road was arrested just after 3. p.m. on Tuesday 15 January 2013 after staff in the building society in Cowick Street, St Thomas reported that they had been threatened by a man with a knife.

He was ejected from the premises before police attended and made the arrest.

He was then interviewed before being charged and kept in custody overnight for court today.
