Police appeal following robbery, Exeter

Police in Exeter are appealing for information following a robbery.


The incident occurred between 9.30am and 10.00am this morning Wednesday 16th January in Willey’s Avenue, off Alphington Road, Exeter.


The victim, a woman aged 83 years had just got off a bus and was walking to her home address when she was approached, pushed to the floor and had her handbag and contents stolen.


The lady suffered a suspected fractured femur and lacerations to her face and head and was conveyed to the R D & E Hospital for treatment.


Police are keen to identify a young man who was seen on a pedal cycle, possibly a BMX bike who was in the area at the time.
