Police in the Liskeard area are appealing for residents to be vigilant following a break in at a home in Pensilva.
Between 3.30pm on Friday 25 January and 9am on Monday 28 January, a bungalow on East Park was broken into.
A search of the property was made by the intruder and nothing stolen. An estimated £200 in damage was caused to the patio door.
Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for anything suspicious and ensure their homes are secure.
