Serious road traffic collision Bodmin

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision which happened on the A30 at Fourwinds Crossroads, Bodmin just after 8.00 p.m. on Monday 4 February 2013.

Two vehicles were involved, a silver Volvo saloon and a white Inca van. The driver of the Volvo which had been travelling towards Launceston, is in his thirties and from the Truro area. He sustained serious injuries and is detained at Derriford hospital.

The driver of the van suffered no serious injuries.

The road was closed until 12.30 a.m. in order that a full collision investigation could take place at the scene and for recovery of the Volvo which had overturned.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it is asked to call the Police on 101 quoting log number 0681 040213.
