Associated Image

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of alleged racial abuse at Torbay Hospital car park.

On Tuesday January 29 at around 2.30pm in car park ‘A’ a man verbally abuse another in relation to a parking dispute.

A woman, unconnected to the incident was also abused by the suspect and police would like to speak to her.

A number of witnesses were thought to be present at the time of the incident, which took place near to the parking inlet area for the Heart and Lung unit.

Police believe that the witnesses may have been intimidated by the suspect’s behaviour at the time but are hoping that they now can come forward and speak to police.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s 6ft tall, stocky build, brown short hair, wearing a grey top and jeans and thought to be driving a small black car.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact PC Mike Copping at Torquay Crime Dept on the 101 police number quoting FT/13/632.
