Operation Monarch

Devon & Cornwall Police are currently investigating allegations of historical child abuse against pupils who attended Sandford Orleigh Special School or The Red House in Newton Abbot, Devon between approximately 1976 and 1988.

The police are keen to contact any ex pupils who attended the school and who feel they were the victim of any abuse, or witnessed any abuse.

The investigation team is based within the Newton Abbot Child Abuse Investigation Unit. The investigation is called Operation Monarch. The team can be contacted by phone via the Force Help Desk on 08452 777 444 and quote log number 251 of 080611 messages can be left for the investigation team who will then make contact with you. Alternately the Unit can be sent emails via the Operation Monarch Email. This is a confidential email address that is checked on a regular basis during working hours.
