Be involved in the re-design of our website
The development and design process for the next version of our website
Introduction
It is really important to us that members of our community find this website easy to navigate and that the information needed is available.
We really value the opinions of our communities and want to involve as many people as possible in the redesign of our force website.
We would like to
- Have our main force website and local policing site as one rather than two separate sites as they currently stand.
- Provide a login facility where people can report a crime online and then track the investigation.
- Introduce a home hub landing page with various user group specific doorways into the site (similar to the BBC homepage site or iGoogle).
- Report a crime / lost or found
- Youth
- Jnrspace.info
- Yrspace.info
- News
- Traffic incidents / road conditions
- Bumblebee – auction site
- Postcode login – to filter content local to you – news, appeals, campaigns, traffic incidents and crime figures (Facebook, Twitter)?
- And access to all unfiltered information the website
- Ensure that every time you revisit the site, from the same machine, your local information will appear as well as a history of your recent page visits.
- Provide an emailed pdf newsletter of the local policing team pages.
These are initial ideas that we have identified to ensure that our communities get the best possible service from us.
So please take a look at our Website consultation page, and send us an email or even a letter (address information in the right-hand-column).
What would you like to see? What services would you like us to provide online? Are there any sections we have at the moment that could be improved on? Is the tone and language used easy to understand? Any feedback you are able to provide will help us ensure our website delivers what our communities need.
Thank you for taking an interest and please let us know how this site is performing.
