Terrorism and violent extremism

Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly are one of the safest places to live in the UK. However, an incident at Exeter’s Giraffe restaurant in May 2008, where a bomb was partially detonated, injuring the bomber only, highlighted the fact nowhere is immune to acts of terror. We must all remain vigilant at all times, regardless of where we live.

This section contains information and advice about terrorism and violent extremism, including:

  • Preventing terrorism and extremism
  • What should I be looking out for?
  • Reporting suspicious activity
  • Protecting our skies and waters
  • Reporting terrorist content on the internet
