There are four main causes of serious injuries and deaths on the region’s roads. They are known as the ‘fatal four'.
In 2012, there were 554 fatal or serious collisions in Devon and Cornwall. The majority of these were caused by these four factors.
If you commit one of these offences you are not only putting your life at risk, but also the lives of any passengers you are carrying as well as other road users and pedestrians. Click on the links above or on the right-hand side of the page for more information.
The THINK! road safety campaign gives motorists advice on how to drive safely. You will find a link to the website under our Useful Links section.
