Update following Hell’s Mouth death

No further action against woman arrested.

Police were called at around 4.25pm on Friday 15 February by a member of the public who had spotted a body at the bottom of the cliffs at Hell’s Mouth, Gwithian near Camborne.

Emergency services attended, including support from the coastguard, who located the body of a 74-year-old woman from Wiltshire.

Next of kin have been informed, formal identification has taken place and this death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police had questioned a 73-year-old woman from Westbury, Wiltshire, in connection to this incident.

Following enquiries, no further policing action will be taken in relation to this matter.

This process now sits in the hands of the coroner.
