75-year-old woman seriously injured

Police are appealing for information following a collision involving two cars and a pedestrian on the A379 near Starcross, Exeter.

Officers were notified at around 10.35am on Friday 24 November 2017 to a two vehicle collision whereby one of the vehicles collided with a female pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 75-year-old local woman, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The weather at the time was dry and sunny.

A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
