Assault investigation becomes murder enquiry

Police have confirmed they are now treating an assault enquiry as a murder investigation following the death of a man who was attacked at his home in Plymouth in January.

Adrian Cieslik, 31, died at Derriford Hospital on Sunday 22 March after being assaulted in a residential property on Cliff Road in the early hours of Monday 13 January. 

Anthony Brinton, 42, of no fixed abode, Plymouth, had previously been charged with attempted murder and is currently remanded in custody.
