Family pay tribute

A 25-year-old man who died following a single-vehicle collision in Plymouth on Sunday [10 November] has been named as Shane Hedges.

Emergency services were called around 1.40am to the collision involving a red Ford C-Max at the junction of Ferndale Road and North Prospect Road.

Shane, from Plymouth, was taken to Derriford Hospital where, sadly, he was pronounced deceased.

His family has paid the following tribute to him:

“In loving memory of our son, brother, and overall great guy. We will miss you dearly and never forget you.”

No other vehicles are thought to have been involved and officers are working to establish the cause of the collision.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the car in the Ferndale Road area at the time of the incident.
