Officers are appealing for witnesses following an assault which happened in Newquay on Tuesday 6 August.

At around 10.45pm, a man in his 30s was assaulted behind the Aldi store in Newquay by a number of men.

The suspects beat the victim causing a deep laceration above his eye. He currently remains in hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Police are seeking any witnesses to the assault, anyone with information is asked to contact police via or by calling 101 quoting CR/70896/19.
