Witnesses sought after teenage girl repeatedly punched fellow teen

Police in Barnstaple are appealing for information after a 14-year-old girl was attacked by another teenage girl while walking her dog.

The assault occurred in the area of Pilton Lawn between 3:50pm and 4.10pm on Saturday 21 November.

The victim was walking her dog when she was confronted by a large group of youths and assaulted by a female from the group.

The offender pulled the victim’s hair from behind causing her to fall to the floor and then continued to repeatedly hit her in the face.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the attack, or have any information which could assist police enquiries, is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at quoting crime reference number CR/098104/20.
