Serious injury collision, Plymouth

Teenager injured

Police were called at around 7am on Wednesday 9 September to reports of a collision on the Westbound carriageway of the A38 between Leigham and Manadon, Plymouth.

The collision involved a black Ford Focus and a pedestrian which resulted in a secondary collision involving a white Nissan Silvia, a black Mercedes and a black Kawasaki motorcycle.

The pedestrian, a 15-year-old local boy, sustained serious injuries and remains in a critical but stable condition in Derriford hospital. 

The driver of the Ford Focus, a 46-year-old local woman was uninjured.

Officers from the Alliance’s Roads Policing Team attended the scene and commenced an investigation of the scene with officers working to establish the cause of this collision.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision and may also have Dash Cam to contact police.  

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting lo 102 9/9/20.
