Man sought by police

Police are seeking a man who exposed himself to a lone female dog walker in Yelverton on Wednesday [5 September].

The act of public indecency happened around 1.45pm near to the first car park on the Clearbrook road just south of Yelverton.

The woman’s dog ran up to the man as they passed each other and he asked her for the time. When she turned around to reply the man was exposing himself.

The woman, in her 50s, ignored the act and made her way back to her car to report the incident to police. He was last seen near the woods next to the car park.

Police are investigating the incident and seeking the suspect who is described as white, in his mid-20s, of stocky/medium build and with short dark hair parted at the side.

He was wearing a green fleece top with what appeared to be three small logos on the left hand breast, black work-type trousers with knee pockets and black boots.

Police would like to hear from anyone with any information about the incident and anyone who saw the man in the area at the time.
