Fatal road traffic collision - Two Bridges, Cornwall

A 25-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene

At approximately 4pm on Sunday 21 July, 2019, emergency services were notified of a one-vehicle road traffic collision involving a black Mitsubishi on the A30 between Plusha Services and Two Bridges.

It is believed the collision happened sometime during the previous evening of Saturday 20 July.

The driver, a 25-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision and next-of-kin have been informed.

The A30 Eastbound carriageway remained closed for approximately four hours while a forensic examination of the collision scene was conducted.

The road remained partially closed at 11pm to allow Highways England to assess and repair barriers. 

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses who may have seen this vehicle during the evening of Saturday 20 July to come forward, quoting log number 672 of 21/07/19.
