Police appeal for witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a hit-and-run collision in Plymouth which left a woman with serious injuries.
The incident between the female pedestrian and the car happened on Wednesday 7 November around 11pm.
A 21-year-old female was knocked over whilst using a pedestrian crossing on at the Greenbank Road junction with Lipson Road, Plymouth.
The victim sustained a double leg fracture and remains in hospital; her injuries are not believed to be life changing.
Investigating officer, Constable Mark Wilkinson said: “It’s believed that the vehicle involved was a metro grey coloured Vauxhall Astra.
“The vehicle lost a driver side wing mirror at the scene so I would appeal to any local garages or body repair shops that have repaired a vehicle of this description since the incident, to contact police”.
Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from road users who may have dashcam footage that could assist with enquiries.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, and from anyone who may have information.
