Man charged following Clifton firearms incident


Suspect due before Exeter Magistrates

Police have charged a man in connection with a firearms incident in Exeter. 

Police attended reports of a firearm being discharged near to the Globe Inn Clifton Street Exeter just before 11pm on Saturday 15 March; four people sustained minor injuries.

James Brinkworth aged 28 from Newtown, Exeter, has been charged with wounding with intent, three counts of actual bodily harm and criminal damage. 

He is due to appear before Exeter Magistrates court on Monday 18 March.
