Man in his 30s injured

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car on Allhalland Street in Bideford on Saturday 10 February 2018.

The incident happened at around 9.25am. The pedestrian walked down Bridge Street and turned left in to Allhalland Street where he slipped over in the rain due to poor footwear.

Whilst he was still lying on the pavement a black 4x4 type vehicle with silver coloured wheels turned into the car park from Allhalland Street after driving down Bridge Street.

As the vehicle turned, it drove over the casualty’s right ankle with the rear nearside wheel. The vehicle did not stop and was not located on police arrival.

The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries which are believed to be life-changing.
