Motorcyclist named

A man who died following a three-vehicle collision on the A3078 Tregony in Truro on Friday 1 December has been named.

David Lawrence, 53, from St Austell, was travelling out of Tregony when he was fatally injured after the Yamaha bike he was riding collided with a Land Rover.

An Audi, driven by a 36-year-old woman from Mevagissey, then collided with the Land Rover. The occupants of the Land Rover and Audi were uninjured in the incident.

The motorcyclist was taken to Treliske Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The road was shut for five and a half hours whilst officers carried out scene investigations.

Police from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact them via or by calling 101 quoting 618 01/12/17.
