Police identify man whose body was found on Carlyon Bay beach, St Austell

Death is not being treated as suspicious

Police have identified a man whose body was found on Carlyon Bay beach, St Austell, yesterday (Wednesday 17 April).

Officers were called by a member of the public at 10am and on arrival found a man deceased at the scene.

The man is believed to be aged in his 50s and from the St Austell area. His next-of-kin have been informed. 

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Formal identification is yet to take place.

A file is being prepared for the coroner.
