Incident took place in Dean Cross Playing Fields

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident at a park in Plymstock.

It is alleged that between 7-7:30pm on Sunday 10 March, there was an altercation between two men who both were walking a dog in the area of Deans Cross Park / Playing fields.

The suspect, described as a stocky white man in his 30’s, around 6ft tall was walking brown pit-bull type dog. He was believed to be wearing a blue jacket, carrying a large rucksack on his back and wearing an illuminating head torch during this incident.

The suspect, whilst holding an axe, made threats to harm the German Shepherd dog the victim was walking during the time of the altercation.

Anyone with any information, or who was in the area during the time of the incident is asked to contact quoting crime reference CR/021652/19.
