Fail to stop incident, Braunton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was involved in a collision on Exeter Road in Braunton on Friday 24 November.

The incident happened outside the SQ restaurant at around 9.25pm. The pedestrian, a 26-year-old local woman, sustained serious injuries following the collision with a small silver Transit van.

The van was travelling towards Ilfracombe at the time and failed to stop at the scene. It was later recovered by officers.

The woman was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth with where she remains.

Officers from the North Devon Serious Collision Investigation team are appealing for witnesses to the incident and information to trace the driver of this vehicle.
