Police appeal for witnesses after man punched in the face

A 22-year-old man has suffered a badly broken jaw after trying to break up a fight at a sports venue in Torpoint, Cornwall.

The incident occurred between midnight and 2am on Saturday 7 March at the Millbrook Football Club.

The man had tried to intervene in an altercation which had broken out outside the club and was punched. His jaw was so badly broken he required surgery and a metal plate to be fitted.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which could assist police enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting, CR/20536/20.
