Information sought after man exposes himself

Police are appealing for witnesses after it was reported that a man exposed himself to a woman in Torquay.

The incident is said to have taken place between 3pm and 4pm on Monday 29 March, on Torre Abbey Sands Beach.

It was reported that the man committed the act before being verbally abusive to the woman. A man intervened and was assaulted on two occasions.

A man, aged 37, from Torquay, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of threatening behaviour, assault and exposure and has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Anyone with any information which could assist police enquiries is asked to call police on 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference CR/024695/21.
