A Chief Constable’s Foundation event

Op Executive Lockup, a charity event organised to raise money for the Chief Constable’s Foundation will take place from 4pm on the 18 March 2020 at the new Exeter Police station.

The event will see members of the Force executive as well as some VIPs - including Exeter Chiefs player Ben Moon - locked up in the new custody facility of Exeter Police station.

Op Executive Lockup wants to keep each participant in custody detention for the whole of the event. The more money donated to each individual the longer they will remain in their cell and with all funds going to the Chief Constable’s Foundation.

The Chief Constable’s Foundation was setup to raise funds for the Force charity. This has recently expanded to include a community fund and a staff transformation fund. The community fund raises money for projects, charities or individuals that are helping to safeguard local areas. The staff transformation fund is open to staff and officers who are involved in local charities or projects.

The Force charity for 2020 chosen by staff and officers is CHICKS. CHICKS is a small charity founded in 1992 that runs respite holidays for children who live in poverty or suffer neglect. Since being founded they have provided over 16,000 children and young people with much needed respite breaks.

Highlights of the event will be streamed through Devon & Cornwall’s Facebook page, with updates also going out via Twitter and Instagram. To get involved, you can follow the link here, or follow Devon & Cornwall Police on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
