Lead stolen

Police in Plymouth are urging the public to be vigilant following several reports of lead being stolen from residential properties.

PC Pete Callaghan said: “Over the past month we have experienced reports of several thefts of lead from residential properties in the North Prospect, Ham and Pennycross areas.

“These incidents occurred at night time.

“We are asking for members of the public to be vigilant towards suspicious persons around residential properties during daylight hours, this is when they will look to identify properties with accessible lead and return at a later date.

“If suspicious activity is witnessed, members of the public are encouraged to contact the police quoting CR/106548/19.”
