Tributes paid to 20-year-old Bethany Rowett
Tributes have been paid to a 20-year-old woman who died following a collision on the B3274 at Winnards Perch, St Columb.
Emergency services were called to the incident, which involved a yellow Peugeot 205 and a black Mercedes Estate, at around 1.30pm on Sunday 2 February.
Bethany Rowett, from Roche, was declared deceased at the scene.
Bethany’s family have paid the following tribute to her: “Bethany was a kind, caring, hardworking person.
“She was a free spirit and had a wicked sense of humour, making her friends, family and co-workers laugh out loud every day.
“She was truly beautiful inside and out. She will be greatly missed by all and we are deeply saddened by our loss.
“She had so much to still to live for and I can’t express how proud I am to say she was my daughter.
“We would ask that people respect our privacy at this very difficult time but would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes and support.”
A 23-year-old man from St Columb Major was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
