Witness appeal after road collision

At approximately 1313 hrs on Friday 29th June 2018, a single vehicle road traffic collision occurred in South Street Car park Torrington involving a Silver Mazda 2.

The Silver Mazda was driven by a 78 year old local male.

As a result of the collision the driver and only occupant of the Mazda sustained injuries and was conveyed by land ambulance to North Devon District Hospital. It is believed no other persons were involved

Local officers attended the Scene at the time of the collision. Sadly the male driver of the Mazda died on 13th September 2018

The matter is now being dealt with by the Roads Policing Team at Barnstaple Police Station. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police on 101 quoting the incident number 494 29/06/18.
