Road traffic collision, Fremington


Overturned car in Yelland Road


At around 12.10pm hours on Saturday 26 September, police were called to a report of a vehicle on its roof in Yelland Road, Fremington, near the junction with Chilpark.


A small red hatchback driven by an elderly female had collided with the traffic island and amber flashing beacon, causing the vehicle to roll and come to rest on its roof on the Barnstaple-bound carriageway.


The driver of the vehicle was taken to North Devon District Hospital having suffered a medical episode.


Officers from the Roads Policing Team and local officers attended the scene to investigate.


Anyone with any information that may help in investigating the incident are asked to call police on 101, or email, quoting Log number 361 of 26 September 2020.
