Police have released images of a man they would like to identify in relation to a theft that took place at a Plymouth supermarket.

It is understood that a man entered Sainsbury’s on Western Approach via the staff only entrance located at the rear of the store, at around 12.30pm on Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24 December.

He is then understood to have walked out of the store via the fire escape with a 43” LG smart TV worth £269, setting off the alarms.

The man is then believed to have walked across Western Approach, leaving the area in a Toyota HiLux Surf 4x4 from Wydenham Street.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the man pictured is asked to contact police on 101 quoting Crime Reference number, CR/115237/19.
