Police appealing for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information following the theft of a vehicle in Kingsteignton.

The incident took place at around 11am on Saturday 25 August in Gestridge Road. A black Toyota was taken from outside a property. 

Investigation officer, PC Kirsty Ampleford said: “The owner of the car had just returned from shopping and was unloading bags from the car, when an unknown man got into the driver’s seat and drove the car away at speed. 

“The victim, who was with the vehicle at the time, fell during the incident sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.

“The vehicle was later located on Thursday 6 September .”
