Fatal road traffic collision, Redruth


Collision on Tolgus Wartha

At approximately 9.25pm on Tuesday 18 February, police received a call stating there had been a road traffic collision on Tolgus Wartha in Redruth, Cornwall, involving a pedestrian and a car.

Numerous South Western Ambulance Service resources attended the scene.

Tragically, a 67-year-old male local to the Redruth area died at the scene of the collision. His next-of-kin have been informed.

Local police officers, operations department officers and specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and launched a full forensic examination.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information and or dash-cam footage, to come forward, unless they have already been in contact with officers at the scene.

Police are also keen to hear from a female who was walking her dog in the area and witnessed the collision as she may have key evidence that could assist the investigation.
