Information sought by police

Police are appealing for the public to look out for a distinctive Mini Cooper stolen from Newquay earlier this week.

The red Mini Cooper SD was taken during a burglary at a house at West Pentire, Crantock, on Monday evening [2 October].

Offenders entered the home sometime between 5pm on Monday and 1am the next day and made an untidy search of the property.

They escaped with a large quantity of high-value jewellery and the keys to the vehicle, which they then drove off in.

Police are appealing for information and asking for the public to keep an eye for the car and report any sightings to them.

The car has a black roof and unique features such as a front grill, door inserts and other cosmetic detail. It carries the registration number WK63 KYO.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or has any information about the burglary is asked to contact police via or telephone 101, quoting CR/085300/17.
