Man seriously assaulted in late night attack, Plymouth

Police are investigating after a man was seriously assaulted while out running in Central Park, Plymouth, late at night.

The 32-year-old was running around a large playing field between 11.10pm and 11.50pm on Friday 28 June when he was approached from behind and knocked out.

He received serious injuries and was treated by ambulance.

Police are appealing for anyone with information which may assist them in identifying the attacker.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or saw anyone acting suspiciously around the Central Park area at the time of the offence is asked to come forward and speak to police.
