UPDATED: Serious collision, Plymouth

Road Traffic Collision

Incident happened on A38 Deep Lane off-slip, Plympton

At around 11.30am on Sunday 1 August, emergency services were notified of a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a Ford Fiesta on the A38 Deep Lane off-slip at Plympton, Plymouth.

Paramedics and police attended. The driver of the vehicle, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Derriford Hospital, where he was later pronounced as deceased.

The Plympton off-slip was closed to allow for an examination of the scene and recovery of the vehicle.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses of the incident to come forward. Call police on 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log 419 of 1/8/21.
