Police are appealing for witnesses

The public are being advised to be vigilant after a woman was sexually assaulted in Hayle.

Police are currently investigating a sexual assault that happened on Monday 12 December between 1.30pm and 1.45pm in Water Lane.

A woman was approached by two unknown men, both described as white, approximately 6ft tall, speaking with Eastern European accents.

The men sexually assaulted the female by inappropriate touching and then pushed her against a fence, knocking her head. The woman managed to kick one of the offenders. They then threw her to the ground and ran off down the lane.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Water Lane during this time, or anyone with information relating to this incident.
