Update: Sexual assault, St Austell

Two people arrested

Police have arrested two men in connection with reports of a sexual assault in St Austell.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 9.55pm on Thursday 23 December.

Following initial enquiries and information received from the public following an appeal, two men were arrested on Saturday 25 December.

Two men in their 30s, one from the St Austell area and one from Birmingham, have been arrested in connection with this incident and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and ask anyone with information to contact officers on 101 quoting 0922 of 23/12/21.
