Fatal collision, Callington

Road traffic incident

One man has died

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious road traffic collision involving two silver-coloured cars on the A388 near Callington at around 4.30pm on Sunday 6 October.

Officers attended the scene along with the ambulance and fire services.

A 73-year-old man from the Bodmin area suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. Police have been informed that he later died as a result of his injuries. His next of kin have been informed.

A 58-year-old man from the Swansea area suffered serious injuries which could be life-changing. 

Officers, including specialists from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and launched a full forensic examination.

Police are urging any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward.
