24 ewes and a ram were stolen from a field in Coleford, Crediton between Monday 31 December 2018 and Tuesday 1 January 2019.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the thefts to come forward and also urged the public to be on the lookout for sheep which have been recently moved into previously empty fields.

A Police Spokesman said: “It is possible that a large vehicle such as a lorry or trailer may have been used so we would urge the public to report to the Police any vehicles seen in the area which seem out of place or with occupants acting in an unusual manner.”
