Serious collision, A30 Monkton


Appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on the A30 between Monkton and Aplins Farm which happened yesterday, Sunday 10 September 2017.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.50pm to reports of a two vehicle collision between a green BMW and a white Fiat Ducato.

The driver of the BMW, a 41-year-old woman, was extracted from the vehicle and airlifted to Southmead Hospital Bristol where she remains in a serious condition. A passenger from the same vehicle was also injured.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 53-year-man from Kent, was injured and treated at the scene by paramedics.

The road was closed for four and a half hours whilst local officers as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collison Investigation Unit attended the scene.
