Unexplained death in Brixham


Air Ambulance called to scene

At approximately 9:20am on Sunday the 10th of September 2017 officers from Torbay Police Response Team where alerted to an alleged assault that had taken place in a private premises in Brixham, Devon.


As a result of enquires at approximately 11:10am officers forced entry to a property in Hillside Road, Brixham. On entry they found a male in need of immediate medical attention and commenced CPR while awaiting the arrival of emergency medical teams. An air ambulance was called to the scene to support officers and ambulance staff but the male was pronounced deceased at the scene.


The incident is being treated as an unexplained death. Further enquires are still being conducted around the circumstances and to formally identify the male and inform his next of kin.


The enquires are still at a very early stage but the Police would like to reassure members of the public and residents of Brixham that this is an isolated incident and they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the enquiry.
