Police appealing for witnesses

Officers in Exeter are investigating an allegation of stalking and harassment in Whipton Village.

The incident took place at around 2:30pm on Wednesday 6 February on Vaughan Road.

It is alleged that the suspect who was driving a white Skoda Fabia stopped his car in the middle of the road, approached a female pedestrian and began to verbally harass her.

It is believed that a passing motorist stopped to intervene during the incident; the suspect returned to his car and left the area.

The woman was left shaken by this experience but physically unharmed.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area during the time of the incident, and would especially like to locate the passer by who intervened.
